In a welding process from within the mind You merge the words together In the strength of their meaning And in this adhesion the structure solidifies In the garden within a mental layout is made A placement of special fragrances of thought In the mixing of colors that plants vivid images In arrangement of a spectacular presentation Now the two verses must merge in the mind of the reader Taking it to the next level of enlightenment Into the heavens of free flight To interpret the intensity of the meditation If the images keep blossoming over time A masterpiece of reflection is born If the explosive image is felt and devoured But wilts in time of rusty reflections Then it is just an advertisement of a temporary value Worst of all if the adhesion is like a political nightmare Running for reelection Then the patchwork of hot air Only lasts if words are inflated enough By voters who do not care Like selling stock in your self The price of success lies in confidence And with the price of today’s stock market Corporate America has lost the words In rusted assets on inflated words of deceit So please do not ask me to come up with the words To justify any ex-corporate officer running for president Who bilked the confidence of investors By defrauding them of their inheritance Let me go back into my mind To create a fantasy That tells the truth And is not afraid of it Believing in an American rebirth Of respect in the words said so right They do not need to be re-welded D.Lester Young (07/22/02) Tuscaloosa, AL Copyright © D.Lester Young (White Eagle poetry) [This message has been edited by D.Lester Young (07-24-2002 06:04 PM).] |

a nice little rant...I loved the first few verses and especially this Let me go back into my mind To create a fantasy That tells the truth And is not afraid of it *s M |
