silhoutted by the explosions of the mind, they roam, fearless and lethal the demons of a past so harsh and cruel where even being awake can't stop them revealing their faces one by one in a slow torturous catalog and there's nothing you can do but take it in and await the storm it's like slow brewed insanity names places facial features forever burned into your soul cutting deeper than any blade never healing, never to fade just a steady burning inside you like a fire that can't be doused roasting you with memories soaking your skin with tears in a vain attempt to stop the pain and they taunt you with the things you've done in a nonstop ginsu commercial while you wait for the waves to subcede as they send shivers of remorse through the fiber of your shallow exsistence and you wonder, "when will I be free?" can the good I do ever cancel the pain I do could I ever hold my head with pride to see will I always be nothing to my eyes it's bad when your shame goes so far as your name where you don't feel like anyone should follow you anything you've ever done should be avoided and the one who you'd give anything for you can't even tell the half of your demons so beware the shadow warriors that dwell in the folds of your mind as they wait for a time to haunt you when it's your past you look to find prepare for battle for soon it will come they will touch you in ways unheard of where even words can't begin to describe these demons more terrifying awake than asleep yet even a sane man would fail to rest when his demons have him up to test beware the faces of your past for those are the faces of ghosts you can't have back if it bleeds seven days and doesn't die, then it's something you should be happy to get. |

I love this--it's a theme that plagues me too--I once called such thought "lesser gods"--but I like the Jungian theme here of boxing with the shadow. Very nice work here. |

Bumping this up I will not bend to the cowardice of a silent judgement. |

damn stubborn thing is still on the bottom, and it doesn't deserve to be there. I'll keep putting this up there until the whole forum reads it if I have to. enjoyed the power as usual. I will not bend to the cowardice of a silent judgement. |
