One Brief Moment She was caught, she fought, in evils knot Betrayed, ever grazed, in a moments rage Broken, soaked in, cruel words spoken Forgotten, locked in, hatreds cage... She bleeds, mind leaves, a soul deceived So she stands, she stumbles, she breaks, she falls She cries, she dies, exposed she lies Losing, moving, to barely a crawl... She remains, stained, from one moments game She's blind, can only find, what's left behind There's tears, she fears, faces reappear In the hope, the cure, the war's over in time... She dreams, she screams, agony it seems Takes, she wakes, from terrors place Breathing, reaching, for something worth keeping Sighs, strives, for a kinder face... The pain, the rain, both the same Just a little self worth left to gain Needs a season, a reason, to change these days For in one brief moment life seemed to slip away...
