You look at me distastefully As you hurriedly walk on by So disgusted by what you see You cannot look me in the eye Don't even think for a minute That I wanted it this way But this is where I live On this bench is where I lay My friends deserted me long ago They just didn't understand I had fallen on hard times In desperate need of a helping hand But no one was there to help me I was left to cope alone The walls had all caved in And I was left without a home This bag holds my belongings I really don't have much Just a collection of my memories A few photographs and such The pigeons that surround me They don't judge me like you do How I wish my life were different And that my troubles were only few My heart says much about me It's the most valuable thing I own At night it keeps me company And I don't feel so much alone I'm sorry I spoil the scenery On this 'proper' side of town But I will remain defiant You alone won't bring me down * * * * * I tried to picture what it must be like for a homeless person who has no place to call home. I am in motion |

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Sue, you are a true angel, sweet friend, while you are not homeless you always can step into ones shoes who truly is and know how they feel and reach out to them! (sad sigh) I wish everyone else in the world can feel like you do and imagine how the homeless feel and think, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sue, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton "Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..." |

Gosh Sue this is so wonderful but so gut-wrenching to read. I'm beginning to think you are a mystic. Great, great words. Hugs, Marti "Even if life is full of thorns, I still embrace it for I know that in between those thorns, there is a rose worth all the pain." |

Sue: I'm sure you have captured a lot of what a homeless person feels, but I guess none of us who have homes, can really know what it's like. Unfortunately, you can find them everywhere you go and it is a heart-wringing sight. I always pray it will never happen to me and also that somehow they will find homes. Betty Lou Hebert |
