Love is like a roller coaster if you like the high you’ll enjoy ride some run from the thrill for fear they’ll take a spill but life without love is like a roller coaster with no passengers empty BloomingRose |

Hello Blooming Rose, You've managed to make a very good point here by using a contrast -the joyful atmopshere emanating from a happy crowd of roller coaster passengers enjoying the thrill and the gloomy stillness of an empty roller coaster- as a metaphor for unconditional love and love declined for fear of the hurt involved in case of failure. I think that most adults, irrespective of gender, have experienced the dilemma of choice between commitment to love and rejection of love because of the perceived risks. This brief piece of philosophical free verse will ring a bell for them, as it did for me. As a newbie to this web site I look forward to reading more of your work. Patrick Talty |
