Green-Eyed Girl By: Noah Eaton 7/17/02 Every time I stare at your picture Your image never fails to make me cry Just thinking how beautiful you are I close my eyes and lie on my pillow And I hug your photo to my heart in the morning light Daydreaming of being with you underneath the stars Down in my hearts lakeside I sit alone Where ducks sadly quacked and flowers withered Where I'm empty with all my tears Then you came roller-skating on the lonely road Your smile made my heart shiver and zither Staring into your green eyes made me cry for once happy tears You are my green-eyed girl You are my Shakira You are my green-eyed girl Sweet Joanna...  You kissed my heart like a ruby-throated hummingbird Deep in my dreams where my love is always growing for you I took your hands and entwined my fingers with yours And I shared my first kiss with you as we heard Sweet happy sparrows and orioles singing our Ninth Symphony in impromptu All sounding so perfect and pure I saw the sun for the first time with you, though I always saw the gegenschein Knowing there had to be something special between you and me Feeling your warm tears touch my cheeks kissing your bubble-gum tongue You gave me the world in an instant I swore I would always be faithful to you as we cried heavenly Smelling the laurels and sunflowers in your hair as we hugged You are my green-eyed girl You are my Shakira You are my green-eyed girl Sweet Joanna... I always want you to know how much I love you... I always want you to know how much I love you... When in Rome, there or here, it never matters As long as I have you close to me No matter how many times I say I love you, my love is incommensurable Because my heart is always beating to hold you in the summer You are the glory in morning-glories I want to always hold you like a teddy-bear to my heart whether I'm happy or troubled I dream we're rolling in the green grass happily Running through the wet gardens with the sprinklers turned on Softly floating on a ferry boat on a crystal firefly lake I dream we're soaring on Pegasus in loves secret galaxy I feel your arms wrapped around me tight and I smile hearing your whispers song Knowing God has blessed us both and that we will be together forever in loving faith You are my green-eyed girl You are my Shakira You are my green-eyed girl Sweet Joanna... I open my eyes, seeing that fresco of your smile in my mind Pressing your picture to my heart having faith we'll see each other soon That I can hold you and tell you everything I've wanted to share to you And look into your green eyes and watch tears of love fall from you as you swoon You are my green-eyed girl You are my Shakira You are my green-eyed girl Sweet Joanna...
