Our blood shared love precious and close
goes beyond our daily cares.
The greatest love a heart can boast
makes humble peace well shared.

A gentle word a gentle touch
an ode to family ties.
Just being there when one needs us
dispells all graceless time.

Outside the nest we search for love
Oh how the heart gets hurt.
The love lines where we find repair
are ties that bind at work.

Hence our hearts get sick with grief,
we fight the fright inside.
and in our souls we beg relief
when we bid loved ones goodbye.

My father had a daughter and everyone was suprised!

You have so much wisdom, How'd you get to be so smart? Loved the poem and it's flow

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Rebecca, I understand this feeling ever so well, sweet friend, it is hard to let go of loved ones but I also know the ties never truly die for the bond spiritually and mutually never fades for the love only grows stronger and your loved ones will always remember you and guide you with their faith and light! (sigh) This is emotionally powerful, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Rebecca, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton
