Once I Could Trust

The dreams have left
Oh ! how I yearned
Despairing I called
You never returned

Left this deep void
Dreams shattered
Its seems so unfair
Thought I mattered

On my pillow alone
Tearfully I’ve wept
Where visions fade
Promises not kept

A shuddering chill
Keeps me awake
Late into the night
Pain of heartbreak

Dreams left to die
Descend into dust
His vanishing heart
Once I could trust

Dear Lady,
Life goes on, and I promise you there is a knight in shining armour waiting somewhere to whisk you away, and then it will be all in the past. There are some good guys out there, and there is a special someone will soon end your sorrows.
