Don't like huntin' but if I did,
I'd probably miss and shoot a kid.
My aim ain't good, my sights aren't sound,
I'm the worst shot anywhere around.

I've shot some things, didn't like the meat,
It's so damn hard to cook them skeet,
Couldn't shoot them birds that I love,
You know them olive-branch totin' doves.

Those brave dudes that shoot them deer,
With guns so big they have no fear,
They put that "monster" in their sights,
Blow off their horns at dawn's daylight.

There's many kinds of deer ya know,
Santa's reindeer, they love snow,
There's impala in Africa,
They got moose in Canada.

Here on PIP we've got one too,
He's so smart he'll baffle you.
He sneaks around and writes in rhyme,
That "Balla" deer ain't hard to find.

So when you're huntin' a poem to read,
Just look here carefully,
That "Balla" deer writes with rhyme and reason,
Cuz this time of year is "Balla-deer" season.

Does whoever gets him, get to mount his head on a plaque to hang on the wall?
Very cute, Mr.Toe

I know I'm always in season to you, Toeman. Cooking those skeet is one of the funniest lines I've ever seen LOL!

You know I wuz just kidden around, Michael...
I don't think that a wooden plaque would be very flattering to your good looks.
If I were to mount you on my wall, it would be in a nice picture frame.
~ hugs from the heart.....
and sorry I insulted you, I didn't mean to.

Hi Toerag!

So it's open season on Balladeer.
Something tells me this isn't new.
At old war poems, I click and peer,
And wonder at the hullabaloo.
I duck and cower in my fear
And tell myself, "This can't be true,"
These poems by Toe, and John and 'Deer
So I keep sorting out who's who,
Eagerly awaiting the next missileer.

Keep 'em coming, guys!

if i could only find
my quiver and my bow
i'd pull and aim,
then dine, though blind
on deer meat, don'tchya know --
but arrows have been hidden
out of site and stored in drawers..
can't find 'em!.. i'm not kiddin'!
'deer me! no stabs or lures...
but if i could i know i would
pull feathers for resounding
of ballads, true, and sheer
the fear of reigned 'deer
kinged for crowning
