Of course, only Mikhail will understand the subtitle... I decided that yes, this is sad, but it's not Dark material. Wrote it at work last night, in what is almost a reply to Mike's 'Jessie's crying' (which is in Dark), though again... Only Mike would understand why. Yeesh, us two lead some complicated lives. I'm just typing this up fresh, in desperate need of crashing into bed and SLEEPING, so please forgive any glaring errors, since my fingers don't wanna find the right spots on the keyboard.

Powerful write Lori...emotionally and images I really liked the way you concluded it with a letter. "We all must learn to accept both ends and not stand so stoically as things fall apart on the inside." there is a whole lot of truth and wisdom in that verse. very cool write Poetess L ![]() jm Now for me some words come easy |

Wow...... A poem of hard-won beauty and ugliness within th' beauty (and beauty within th' ugliness). Tough, important words to read. I love you. She said burn ... together. |

Perhaps we all have to change a bit, to take in the darkness with the light. This? BALANCE... ![]() This is full of everything Lori- emotion, consequence, revalation, sadness...you've mixed it all...and I'd probably hit upon more if I read again... (thats a good thing poetess) enjoyed this!!! take care you!!! Open arms can be the most fragile in the world... |

We all must learn to accept both ends and not stand so stoically as things fall apart on the inside. This is a lesson which is hard to learn, Lori..... My illness is forcing me to do this...to lean on others and to accept that its okay to fall apart on the inside.......and the outside too, sometimes. Your poem is very powerful and speaks lots of truths... excellent job on this one... ![]() Lyra |

I guess it really depends on your concept of 'natural causes'. This is good. Nan(Pilgrim variety) |

Thank you, all... I just sat down to get the remnants of my past disastrous mood out of my head, and I guess y' see what comes of that. The girl in the poem is a girl who shows many aspects of myself. Too many for comfort, sometimes. I have to fight back that melodramatic despair and actually find the real me every once in a while. Writing it out always helps. I must say, I was quite the ball of fun for my co-workers to deal with last night, when I wrote this. ![]() "Silly bunny, there are no monsters in here." - Chrys, from Gloom Cookie |
