I thought when two people got married
It was with each other, they spent their time
But it wasn't with me, you were with each day

You ignored my needs and put me down
For the feelings I had, which hurt me
I learned real quick to keep everything inside
My feelings I never would even let you see

A relationship never does have a chance to grow
When there is no time spent with each other
There were too many times I tried to hang on
Wishing and hoping that things would get better

Now, I think I have given up any hope for us
Because for us to make it, I can't do it alone
If only you had wanted it as much as I did
Then, our love would have had a chance to grow

Evidently, that wasn't what you wanted with me
It wasn't me you were worried about losing
It was the things you had, before I ever came
But, I am the one, who you were always using

Someday, maybe my heart will start to mend
For now, the pain I feel is just too strong
Because, my love for you has always been real
And, I never thought that loving you was so wrong
