One day at the Pearly Gates, As Saint Pete was getting older, Jesus happened by-by fate, Pete said, "Would you take over?" "I need a break to stretch my legs, Would you watch the gate for me?" Being the kindest man that ever lived, He said, "Sure, take a break old Pete" A moment later came a man, Quite old and shedding tears, Asked about his long lost son, He hadn't seen in years. Jesus said, "Well tell me sir, About this missing lad?" The man said he's quite unusual, With the "scarring" that he had. He said, "It is my son you see, He has holes in hands and feet, Jesus stood back and said with glee, "Father dear I'd wondered, when again we'd meet." The man looked up with tearful joy, Said, "I can't believe it's true, Are you my one and only son? Pinnochio...Is that you?" |

I love this, sweets!!! And not just because it's a great poem... it gives me hope. *G* It make take some mistaken identity to get me through those pearly gates... I hope all orders for heavenly bifocals get lost in the mail! LOL Thanks for the grins... this day sure needed them! |
