The past can never be mended but yet determination is strong The gods I have foolishly offended But who am I to admit I was wrong.... I have not loss the battle yet through the night I struggle on I wipe from my eyes stinging sweat for in this life I am but a pawn The sound of my steps engulf me Fog slowly creeps into my mind I want so much to turn and flee but I am scared of what I may find Uncertainty follows my every move paranoia has started its attack I thought I had something left to prove but faith is something I lack. Bloodied and bruised are my hands Tired and worn is my heart once more I trip on the rooted land For we are all merely mortals from the start. Freedom is not Free (Korean War memorial) |
