Perfidy A computer’s tale Perfidy how could you do this to me? After I lavished care on you constantly The hours I’ve spent being with you The attention and the love I’ve given too And now you go and treat me like this Simply depart without a farewell kiss No warning that you were leaving me One moment you’re here then I’m history Treacherous betrayal, have you no heart One second you here then you depart How could you do this leave just like that? What are you anyway some kind of rat? Not a word, no not ever a small sign I would hardly say your behaviour is fine You can’t say I haven’t tried for you All those wasted hours you put me through Betrayal of such a momentous degree I think I deserve a lot of sympathy No one who’s seen my tears of despair Could doubt for a moment that I really do care Return to your home the table looks bare My desk is missing you so is the chair I’ll forgive you the loss of my files and such Come back computer I miss you too much Marsha Breathe through the heat of our desire |

A beautifully written, sad tale of electronic betrayal... Maybe you ought to trade that traitor in for a new model. ~ feeling your pain hugs Lyra |
