1. The ocean confounds her. She moves and pulls, always so strong. How does she stand to still the swell of time? He holds the keys to mysterious places yet to be discovered. The gate keeper who unlocks her heart and unchains the mind. To kiss the sandstone of the shore. Kiss the salt trace of the tide. Kiss the imprint of her heart laid out in the sun. Tread light, for he hears with ears attuned to ardent whispers. He soothes this longing with a succulent grin from heaven. 2. Birds cast shadows o'er the waves. They fly to her, to join stars' heaven. His hands caress away the garment of fear and wraps tender warmth around innocent desire... She walk the stairs up to the sky. Holds the moon among her mouth. Tasting its light, its spreading tide alive. "Glide over me in gentle waves and teach me to hold my breath for the long endless kiss of night. For the moon is our hiding place, beloved gate keeper." "We throw the keys into the tide. Watch them turn to sunset's glow. Watch us turn and go, turn and go," he replies. His eyes are the brightest twin stars in the night, his lips the sweet honey of life. His hands infuse her with strength. Don't let go... don't let go... 3. She is a mirror without a frame. Made of sea glass, sunlit rain. He holds her image to his lips. And kisses wishes that he wished. He is the tranquil waters of the Caspian Sea. He is the hope love longs for desperately. He is the summit of mountains, the turn of tides. He is the truth that outweighs all the lies... "Where is the storm you promised?" she asks him from his mouth. "Where is the storm you promised made of purpled sky gone gold?" "The tempest lay at your feet, a slave to your beautiful hands... Call upon the fury of the sky -- that we may be caught away together." Without question, she finds the sky again to give to him. She places stars upon his lips. Strawberry sapphired taste of love. In return, he fills her soul with nectar of paradise... Climbing marbled stairs dusted with diamonds to the sacred temple of Venus. 4. From where they watch the sea below, so small and reckless in its hold. They cause the tide to turn away and flood the fields of shore, to wade. Emotions raise themselves like babes in the womb -- nourished from love's richness deep in the hearts of one another. So precious, fragile... She keens a cry like a gull. And he holds her, fragile girl. So strong in her own ebb and flow. She says again ... "Please never go." 5. She trembles over the rainbow of always, to never be without his arms. The one whose heart pounded into hers and galloped the winds of the tempest. Storm is coming faster now. Rain whips trees, castanet click. Heating lightning with the wind. Falling farther from their hold. Luminescent streaks claw the skies where lovers cling like ivy to the fragile moment of now. Careening out of control on the fluttering wings of fulfillment.. And as that moment passes by the storm is clearing from the sky. The Tempest of Nirvana dissipates. Along the shore they walk. And wait. Come, fate. Fingers entwined, rested upon golden sands. A welcome hush has kissed the lands. Two, now one, shall never part. Unspoken oath sworn in each heart. Never again, shall we wait... Shh, darling it's late. Angry fears disintegrate. Come, fate. She said burn ... together. |

And I could've quoted the last many verses, also. A bit long for my attention span...but, whew! New sig in construction. Please maintain speed limit. |

Wow you two!!! Remarkable…stunning…and many more adjectives I could come up with. Well done to you both. Come, fate. Fingers entwined, rested upon golden sands. A welcome hush has kissed the lands. Two, now one, shall never part. Unspoken oath sworn in each heart. Never again, shall we wait... Shh, darling it's late. Angry fears disintegrate. Come, fate. Especially love this ending. But I always love happy endings!! Lol Danger...wet floor...Duncan had another accident!!! Puppy training classes to come. [This message has been edited by Tracey (07-09-2002 11:03 PM).] |

The title alone leaves me staring at the ground and drawing lines with my feet, and adamantly muttering that I've never pretended to be a poet. 'Cause I'm not, when y' look at *this* masterpiece! Yeesh, Mikhail, y' write better with her than y' do with me. Prob'ly 'cause she writes better'n me, but that was a given. Loved this. It's hypnotic. You two should work together more often. Glad you all enjoyed! Tiersdin and I had fun writing it. We even stayed up later than we should have to do so! Glad our idle time is received so warmly here. Thanks, Lori! She said burn ... together. |
