The Climb The mountains we must climb each day Meeting each challenge along the way We begin our climb not sure of what we will find Always focused on the challenges in our mind As we travel through time Climbing our mountains each day we must not stop The drive inside us pushing us to the top The goals we set will soon be met The challenges of life not over yet Soon we must leave the Joy Happiness and Peace we find For we have another mountain to climb Each day we are challenged time after time In our faith each day we must find The strength to climb the mountains in our mind Through life’s journey and our quest Always striving to become the best Our God in heaven will comfort us when he calls us to rest Our faith we must keep As we say I lay me down to sleep I pray the lord my soul to keep God give us the strength we need each day To climb our mountains we pray Paul Wilson 12-25-00 |

Paul, you should check into the Poetry Workshop. Not that you need help, no sir, but I've been working my fool head off on a paradelle, and I think with a bit of rewrite in this very poem, you'd have one, hands down! Enjoyed this, Sir...well done! |
