I'll Remember

wrap me up and hold me in
teach me who I've truly been
show me all the colors
hidden beneath the waves
in the tumultuous sea of your heart
with your eyes tell me the tales
that set you apart
pull back the covers
to reveal your little slaves
I know we feel the same
in dimensions mystified
by sweet passages through holes
where no one dares to go
keep on teaching
by your candlelit thoughts
pages passing hand by hand
only in the trash to land
don't worry about your cemetary days
they'll appear too soon by themselves
your legacy curls up into itself
but we believe without falter
and we carry you on
just as you cared for us
I'll remember you when you're gone
