I'm in trouble, cartilage that is, or in common words: my kneecap
It will need an operation, so for a while I'm not able to feet tap
I told that doc, a really nice guy, I won't have it done right now man
Inspecting sheep and travelling to States is what I'll do first if I can

Will take some weeks he said to me, I know, they've done my other knee
Took me more than just some weeks, two month at least I wasn't free
If I've had some trauma, he wants to know, I said "Not that I'm aware"
But then I remembered a ewe last year, in Belgium, who didn't take care

She took a swing at my poor knee, in trying to escape her inspection
I didn't know, but it was then that my kneecap got this little fraction
You can't sue a ewe that is certainly true, but stuck I am that's sure
Nice job, inspecting Drenten sheep, now see what I must endure

So when I'm back from visiting you, I'll only have one week ahead
And then I'll be under, narcotics that is, only one day in hospital bed
But after that I know what's coming, some fysiotherapist's 'traction'
When I inspect this Summer, I'll lend some skeeler's kneecap protection!
