well as we all know and have read many times... there are soo many poems about falling in love... sigh... well my challenge is to write a poem about falling out of love.. personalize it make it your own... make it believable!! good luck here is mine... Falling out of Love It never really hit me until I got out of bed I'm falling out of love said the thoughts inside my head he's smelly and obnoxious and he drinks too much beer everything I tell him goes in, and out the other ear He dresses like a slob his socks dont match up just right and when I saw him this morning it was such an awful sight it musta been the whiskey that made me fall in love last night but things are always different in the morning light. |

How could she said those things? Its easy to hurt a heart. Could I be falling out of love? Did that beer have a part? She said she loved me But used me for her own game. Just to empress her friends. Feeling degrated and in shame.. How did I believe the lies? Held above all the truth.. It happened at the carnival, right at the kissing booth. A harmless kiss. Progress in what is more. I should of known better. Was I used in this game? What was she trying to use me for? Could this be the symptoms? Of falling out of love? To feel so degrating.. Feels pretty familiar.. fits like a glove. I'm done with that girl now. But I'm hurting down inside. But I'll keep on smileing. Just so I can hide. How was that? I just thought of that.. lol "It might be easy to fall for someone but it's also easy to break a heart." - Zach Booker. |

Hey again hunnie_girl! I'm bored and I wanna give this challenege another shot.. well here I go... Here we go again. Down the same road. Look back in memories. Back in the times of old. I knew the love was phony Way back from the start. There was no need to say any lies. But you had to break a heart. At the time I thought back And said I was in love What a fool I was? How could you let this happen, Allmighty power up abbove? I bet you saw this coming. But didn't say a word. Didn't send an angel.. To carry me off like a bird.. But now I know the symptoms of falling out of love. No need to go back into that place. No need to feel the feelings. And no need to see your lying face. well what do you think of it hunnie_girl? Its not my best.. "And so the lion fell in love with the lamb....,"he murmured. "What a stupid lamb," I sighed. "What a sick, masochistic lion." |

She left She wasn't there when i opened my eyes So i closed my eyes again The note was wrote upon the pillow 'I hope we can still be friends' I cried the tears of a lover scorned They burned my cheeks to red I thought a thousand useless thoughts which flashed around my head I could not sleep i could not eat Her eyes haunted me when alone I found myself again and again beside the cursed phone To hear her voice syrupy smooth To hear her say my name could i dial could i call Was it worth the inevitable pain The click the ring my heart flutters Hi you've reached my machine and if its you my ex beau i like you but i've changed I place the phone in its nest her voice was dead my heart at rest My love for her had flown away now to find another lay. To take a lot of pain, |

The red rose has fallen to our feet like a gauntlet our sighs for so many years unsighed and smoldering within us could not blow it away our sorrows so gigantic so petrified and unspoken cannot make us lift a finger to give the rose to the other or even remove the reminder from sight So much for breathing so much for sorrow |

I made a little oops in the last one. Tenses didn't agree. And I made a couple of other little changes. The red rose fell to our feet like a gauntlet our sighs for so many years unsighed and smoldering within us could not blow it away our sorrows so gigantic so petrified and unspoken could not make us lift the rose back up or give it the other or even sweep the reminder from our sight So much for breathing so much for sorrow and here's some great falling out of love music 1) Bob Dylan "Blood On The Tracks" 2) Richard Buckner "Devotion+Doubt" |

Wasn't Last Time the Last Time? I tear your pictures off the wall just like all the times before. I break my fingers to take your calls just to fight the same old wars. And it's making me a mess, but I'm putting us to rest and this time i won't... I can't keep my faith in something I can't see. You could be lying in my bed, but I can't see you here with me. I'm so sick of this routine; A car crash I've already seen. And I'm done. 'cause everything's wrong but it's alright. everything's wrong... well it's alright. And I hear you say that "We can try to change". but we try and fail and try again just to end up in the same place. So I've been sitting, and I'm thinking but I ain't got no words Left to say. 'cause everything's wrong but it's alright. everything's wrong... well it's alright. I tear your pictures off the wall; they look better on the floor. I break my fingers to take your calls; I won't take them anymore. And it's making me a mess, but I'm putting us to rest and this time i won't.... The soul is oftentimes a battlefield where reason and judgement wage war on passion and appetite. |

All i remember She walked away thats what i remember The nights held hands The lips that locked Those things slipped And the wind blew them off The whispers words the carressing glances the heartfelt pleas and unwasted chances Loves footprints clear in yesterdays clay now have gone all i remember she walked away To take a lot of pain, |

Dread the open sore that festers Deny the answer that questions Free your mind of the betrayal of your tongue Feeling the words only in my heart Isn’t good enough for anyone It’s my cry that is unsung My lips can move in a way that makes this world Rest on its heels My mouth can crumple It’s what I feel that is infinite in explanation It’s the notion of meaning in your voice I find no comforts there Only a hidden condescending tone You call it what you want I call it what is..."ours" Change is inevitable our love is lost |
