Surrealism definition My challenge is verily easy. I'd like to see some poetry written in the surrealist style. The definition explains that surrealism was an artistic movement. If you'd like to know the definition of surreal, you can find it here. Enjoy! |

Dictionary: Surrealism, n. Pure psychic automatism, by which one proposes to express, either verbally, in writing, or by any other manner, the real functioning of thought. Dictation of thought in the absence of all control exercised by reason, outside of all aesthetic and moral preoccupation. Encyclopedia: Surrealism. Philosophy. Surrealism is based on the belief in the superior reality of certain forms of previously neglected associations, in the omnipotence of dream, in the disinterested play of thought. It tends to ruin once and for all other psychic mechanisms and to substitute itself for them in solving all the principal problems of life. I just posted something like this, titled, unfinished. |

Here are my two cents. ------------------------------------- I spit with an immense amount of power Stalk slang showers, cowards, cower, underneath our Storm clouds that indicate the acid rain hours Ah, dirty, dirty destiny Birded murders with a burnt birch and a peasantry Nervous flux flirtin' with hurley burly chemistry Graffiti burner urchin merchant with a certain urge to jerk and serve your centerpiece |
