writing surgery-- a finger-tipped confessor-- poetry, my priest. Appease the ancient gods with word. I need to script myself apart-- I pray in silence I'll be heard. defining definition. Save me from myself, absurd, absolve me of volition. lest in my sleep I shatter night. Every thought is smoking gun of spirit's suicide. and yes, pour salt upon the wound. "Holy, Holy," in refrain beneath a hallowed moon. I beg, deliver me, from me. A penning of epiphany-- a poem be my peace. |

Rhymed Weep ... Poetic Promised Keep (Gifted Pen of Sen) Whispered sorrow passed down thru borrowed time, scripture and verse etched in metered rhyme. Promised peace circling in silent release, captivated by gifted pen's fragile caprice. A wish is cast cross summer's starlit sky ... a cry from the past in fervored sigh. Woman-child dances beneath solstice moon, a goddess in chains of innocence taken too soon. How is it then ... I taste the salt of her tears? Twins born apart ... reunited in rhymed reflecting mirrors. If I've but one wish ... it would be to give her my eyes, to grant her my view ... her true beauty in resonating realize. I beg of the muses at night to pen for her in chapter and verse, that I might write a lullaby to free her from this sleepless curse. In the end, 'tis her own pen that will compose that venial symphony, her veins bleed of need that will keep her promised poetic epiphany. ~*~ ~*~ "people see me I'm a challenge to your balance I'm over your heads how I confound you and astound you to know I must be one of the wonders of god's own creation and as far as you can see you can offer me no explanation I believe fate smiled and destiny laughed as she came to my cradle "know this child will be able" laughed as my body she lifted "know this child will be gifted with love, with patience and with faith she'll make her way" Wonder Natalie Merchant ~*~ Your pen will be your key baby ... Love you KA. how about how good it feels to finally forgive you ~~~ the moment I jumped off of it ... was the moment I touched down. ~Alanis Morissette~ [This message has been edited by Janet Marie (04-20-2002 02:33 PM).] |

Thank you Larry! It's much appreciated. Duncan? I'm not sure, but you may be the first male member of U.M. (United Moth) You my friend, crack me up. Hugs. Janet--I don't know where to begin. I often wonder if people realize the impact they can have just by being there. You have touched so many lives here are passions, and I'm lucky to be one of them. I will treasure your response always...(tho it makes me blush) I love you m'twin. Thanks for being there, yet once again. |

Martie...I know you know this feeling, this was ONE OF THOSE that was like pulling teeth. I forget who said it, but I believe it was a painter, "It's either very very easy, or very, very hard." I know you know. Thank you. Sandra..? ditto the above, lady! sky...ditto that twice! and Alicia...glad that you enjoyed the lovefest...grin, and yes, I loved the Natalie Merchant quote too. Let loose the poisons from my vein; and yes, pour salt upon the wound. "Holy, Holy," in refrain beneath a hallowed moon. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ How is it then ... Your pen will be your key baby ... Love you KA. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Yanno, I read this poem and the responses for the first time today, and got all teary-eyed. A pen will truly always be your release and savior K, but having this woman to walk tall with don't hurt a dang thing either that is for sure. I salute you both, my Gemini ladies, from one more of the "G-girlies" - and a very Happy Birthday Karen. You both are so loved. |
