to keep and hold, all this and more
as love was spent and once not saved
upon the close and lock of door

In love for life, in life for love
two hearts do bleed as two are torn
As stars do fall from sky above
upon the earth till love is born

From this I say and shall decree
as two are one upon the break
of grasp and hold to now be free
from bond of love in vow partake

Sour wine does flow as silken feel
when passion cries from shaken soul
across the lips of twain reveal
till shattered bells do sadly toll

When once the heart does beat again
strong from the sight of love in view
One soul shall balk and twice refrain
‘gainst will of man’s whispered review.

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Barry, this has such a sad tone to it, sweet friend, may the door again be opened and have the bells singing with laughter and rapture as love rises like a phoenix in a lovers heart once more! Barry, this is lovely, and I would make but one suggestion in the last stanza, and that would be to edit "whisper" to past tense...

see how that sounds in your ear...
