The Color of My Feelings

I spill all of my emotions out
onto this blank piece of paper
one on top of another
they make quite a hefty pile

the hot pink ones, for my temper and my passion
the cool, restful, self possessed blues
the valentine reds of sweet misty-eyed love
those bright green ones...monsters of jealousy, breathing fire
seething with envy and paranoia
I add some crisp, cheery yellow and turn it inside out for fright
warnings of terror
and finally...the dreaded black of grief and mourning
striping itself into the yellow, it becomes a ribbon of disaster
cordoning off the scene of the crime

All of these emotions, I pour out
onto that paper of innocent white
burdening it's pure newborn virtue

I try to sort through this heterogeneous heap of perceptions
and find that
I cannot separate one from the other

wherever passion leads, jealousy seems to follow
the cool blues run into the cheery, frightening yellows
turning green and creating even more envy

soon the pure white paper is no longer visible
colored with all of these emotions running together...
it becomes it's own color...

It becomes the color of my feelings

Lyra my darling friend this is simply exquisite, I truly love this diamond of light and emotion from you. You have an amazing ability to write with such clarity. And this had me utterly entranced by your writing

As always darling heart you excel and I love it I love it utterly utterly. This is superb writing darling girl, you’ve managed to show with these colours the uniqueness of you and YOU are indeed wonderful

I love this utterly utterly

Love and warm stuff
As always
Mushy

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the eathquake wind and fire
Oh

You are quite the artist, both with word, and palette...

reminds me of one I did, I think I'll find it, dedicate it to you...

strange I just had a vision of doing something from Lucsher's color test a book which exposed certain personality traits based on one's favorite color's...what a fine palette you paint

Lady Lyra,

Must I say that this is so very real...

You have picked your colors well...and
like most of us...they are somewhat
blended together at most all times...

Thanks for your reply, Martin...
What is Luscher's color test?  and what colors are associated with each personality type?

Thanks so much, Barry...I think you are right.
