standing on a shadow's lace

Moon Beyond The Waters Edge

I wake
from dreams
to surf your shore
touching
a shadows reflection
to wanting more
you beckon me
to travel the current
of your tide
unleashed,
you are
a waves guide
I follow steps
of a surging
moons dance
the current
movement in
a swelling romance
simple motion
of rise, ripple,
and roll
soul once separated
and half
now whole
beyond
the waters edge
is the moon
and I
just sigh
within its spoon

Excellent write!  I truly enjoyed the flow of this poem, line after line. Your rhyme was great without seeming forced, and with the structure of the poem, the rhyme was even subtle.

I've always wondered if the moon needed the water. . . perhaps it is so. . .

well done. . .

Your work is always good to come back to a few days later for more reflection. . . and this is no exception.
A romance indeed!
