June’s Chill chill, chill, this awful chill despite the sunny glade I’ve fed for warmth no, not the hearth, too high a price to pay it’s summer dear I want some cheer from bills that come to pry me loose of coin to dollars join and like a lark, to fly please stay the course from wintry horse whose rider grabs me pay I want some left for summer’s crest pretense of holiday ©June 8, 2002 I also posted "This New Morning" yesterday...it's WAY down the board, today. Whether on the shoal or on the shore, |

Hi Vas, Really like the rather eccentric rhythm/rhyme scheme. It really carries one like a good old folk song. Exellent write! Stay out of those chills. LOL |

Thanks, bags! Just finished the dishes of two days collection and I'm all warmed up. Funny how getting around to doing what one should be doing, its labor, warms the body. Shucks, one more reasong not to procrastinate. Doubt I'll remember it, though. LOL A bit like convincing oneself that they will feel better once the excercising has stopped. hehehehe It's that doggone starting it that's the tough part. Whether on the shoal or on the shore, |
