Sour grapes vintage on the vine Pruning dimples of lost loves texture Moisture to exist on a relationship Has festered into bitter pills Withdrawn from the sting that hurts so You withdraw from the nest of feelings Flying on waves of tears In torments that swirl in revenge But the restlessness binds you To deep soul searching In a quack mire of doubt As memories storm within you The love that hates so Hurt to feels so Emotions rise into depressions On roller coasters of emotions Depressed mindset rises With rings of desperation To lower on wrong numbers That cast you a drift again Stay away sweet love I am not worthy of the abuse You have let me exist on With no air to breathe from My space has to fly free So we can claim each other on our own Without the shackles that bind Cutting the threads of our purpose Your commitment to me Can not swallow up my existence In a skeleton that moves at your will Howling in the pain of obedience So sweet love you are on your own To adjust in a champagne sweet enough To challenge my taste buds Into an intoxication that flowers So I wait for both imprisonments to end Where we can join in a harmony That dances in the great possibilities That smiles in hands that share each other So go away sweet love I will miss you Email me at davelyoung1@hotmail.com D.Lester Young (06/08/02) Tuscaloosa, AL Copyright © D.Lester Young (White Eagle poetry) http://www.authorsden.com/visit/author.asp?AuthorID=5012 [This message has been edited by D.Lester Young (06-08-2002 09:16 AM).] |
