Self Critique

Oh! The erudition that echoes in each word,
Oh! The depth and wisdom the finest ever heard,
Oh! The piquant emotion, my senses do beguile,
Oh! The subtle humour, evokes in me a smile.

Wow! The magic imagery, you weave in every line,
Even the interstices are really quite sublime,
The romance that you capture, be still my beating heart!
For within each phoneme, you surely weave your art.

The cabalistic mysteries implicit in each stroke,
Even dark enigmas for cognoscente folk,
Nadia of perfection, transcends the universe!
Truly poly-dimensional the meaning of your verse.

Expedite cathartic rhyme, to cauterise the soul,
And triptych rhythms subliminal, as from the tongue it rolls,
Oh master we prostrate ourselves, your words inspire love!
What a damn shame, this thing here – is none of the above.

Thank you all for taking the time to read. It wasn’t mean to be sad but humours Mistletoe but thanks for the welcome.
Well spotted Ecriven, I used to be a glassblower so…
