The textures of thoughts Bring the friction of being human In the coarseness of feeling We let our emotions fly free Riding waves so rough The tides take them up and down Like a yoyo Foaming for reaction Visualization ponders the landscape Inhibition rides colors of rainbows Painting sculptures of words In skies so visual We dance our selves free in expressions That dive into us in strength Spiraling in intensity that electrifies Charging us with the power To reach so deep within us We cry out in the combination Of such beauty that words come together Sending us in exhilaration In to the next combination Of magic spells Casting spells within the mind to think So fine of a process can develop That we can intercept the heavens Where the peace in us Flies its wings of angelic proportions To sometimes lose it to devilish ramblings Yes variety is the spice of life That takes us down different paths To excite and create moods so real That we hurt thinking of them And can fly off in ecstasy in the next verse In tears of joy we look back At the puzzle created before us From a billion possible combinations Calming the scenery within In the smile of contentment Yet we know that success will always lie In the next spurge of possible brilliance That will illuminate us beyond our grave of concern Into acceptance by some of the worth That our words share with others So destroy me if you will But the drive in me will succeed In the next generation of thinkers Who risk their independence to ponder In winds so powerful Our time here was blessed in its entirety Email me at davelyoung1@hotmail.com D.Lester Young (06/08/02) Tuscaloosa, AL Copyright © D.Lester Young (White Eagle poetry) http://www.authorsden.com/visit/author.asp?AuthorID=5012 [This message has been edited by D.Lester Young (06-08-2002 05:31 AM).] |

D. Young There's many wonderful thoughts in this and many truths. Love that title because it sets the entire write up so well! |
