This New Morning What brings the morning its heaving, its sigh; what brings the robin and finches that fly? What wakens the dew drops on leaf and on glade, and dries it to vapor ‘neath cumulus grayed? The hour of the dawning, each ray of the sun, kisses and sparkles the spell day has won. Hope that is realized as dormers unfold a new dawn is given a new bell has tolled. The breezes reflect the sweet Spirit’s voice a fresh day for living a time to rejoice. ©June 5, 2002 Virginia Salter Whether on the shoal or on the shore, I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.
