The intents of our softly sadness
make me write in reddest ink,
even though it may seem black
to you.

Or blue as deepened autumn sky
before the moon rises high
to paint its orange borrowing
'cross you.

I hold myself inside out.
Across the distance, waste of shout.
I try to find the scents
of calming things.

And I find the calm in you
when I whisper I love you
across the phone line,
that bridge of stings.

Not just hurt,
but bursting worth.
Sometime soon we'll find the birth
of what our time has shown us what we have.

Until then, I close my eyes.
Pray to cedars, moon, the skies.
May these months reveal their songs
like mouths of June, July.

I write to you in lonely rooms.
I write to you in purple blooms.
Disrepair in comfort's hold.
Without you I feel so old.

I need you more every day.
I need the soundings of your sway.
I need to move to your above.
I need the bright kiss of your love.

She said burn ... together.

big ole friggen *sigh*
seriously...that last verse went thru me..
so many lines in this were mirrors...
you find the words for what takes mine.

When man is lead to arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations
When mans concern narrows, poetry reminds him the diversity of existence

Those two girlies above said it true...love looks real good on you.  I wish it for you, the forever kind.  Loved the poem!
