At the end

Hearken as the whispers fade
the songs of distant fairies wane
silence floats around the glade
as the moonshine lights her train

From the heavens where she sleeps
flows her gown of silver cloud
ever as the night draws deep
brighter glows her heavenly shroud

White roses grow upon her way
and blossom 'neath her tender feet
shedding petals as they sway
leaving such a scent so sweet

Silver tears shed from the sky
that spreads a carpet of pure dew
cold from when they left her eye
when all were held within her mew

On the moors and in the glades
her fire brings new warmth to heart
turns away the cold steel blades
and unites those that were bound apart

As the old moon fades at last
and the bright stars begin to part
she reaches back into the past
and touches me upon my heart.

I'm sorry it came too late.

Andrew I don't know the context, but the poem is stunning in it's depth
