(a work of fiction)

Victoria was sweet with bright eyes
That lit her smile with grace
But her spirit was even brighter
Than the beauty of her face

Now Ronnie, he was a rebel
He wore a constant frown
When Victoria is described as golden
Ronnie, I guess he’d be brown

He worked hard at all he did
But life had dealt him no ace
Until the fateful day
He laid eyes upon Victoria’s face

In love he fell in an instant
When she smiled and spoke with him
It took hours and hours and days to pass
To get rid of his foolish grin

And each day she would walk past him
He’d practically do cartwheels to get a rise
He was addicted to the laughter
That shown from Victoria’s eyes

This affair it lasted a lifetime
As though sanctioned from up above
Victoria brought Ronnie meaning
And Ronnie brought Victoria love

The twist to this sweet little story
Is that they two were seven and eight
And their lifetime it suddenly ended
In what we often call fate

They met in a ward of a hospital
Cancer victims with nothing left to try
And the end you’ve now guessed it
Victoria and Ronnie do die

But how wonderful that they met
And found joy in each other as friends
I hope we all know that feeling
When life for each of us ends.

Let my words fall first upon deaf ears before a closed mind...

You tugged at my heartstrings with this sad tune. But it's a well written song that celebrates the joy of life, even when that life is of short duration, it can be filled with love.

(big hugggssssss) Oh Michelle, this is so very sad, sweet friend, it saddens me to see them end their lives like that, although I also feel glad at least they got to meet and their love will last forever and nothing can ever change that! (sad sigh) This is sad but beautiful, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Michelle, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton
