Garnet & Vanilla Days No one knows the thought she had when she donned garnet color of her mourning’s sad her thoughts ran deep gold for, by sunlight, thin cut of garnet ring on one finger remained a promise of gold memory’s linger then deep cut of her other ring indicative of blood weepings she senses, on vanilla scented mornings memories seeping she donned then the garnet shimmer, enhanced it, dripping garnet necklace and earrings’ glimmer recollecting his dabbling in garnet once how thought fingers had reached deep into her soul past red, into arcane dulcet of her, into blood’s beat of sure having found her heat so pure, now scented skin of vanilla’s bless once having fed hunger’s deep caress it was a match of wild excess a stronger belief to compress the blood garnet of her days a mellowing in vanilla haze garnet shimmers in her veins blood gone gold upon the wane No one knows the thought she had when she donned garnet color of her mourning’s sad her thoughts running before the fold |

how thought fingers had reached deep into her soul past red, into arcane dulcet of her, into blood's beat of sure having found her heat so pure, now scented skin of vanilla's bless once having fed hunger's deep caress it was a match of wild excess a stronger belief to compress the blood garnet of her days a mellowing in vanilla haze garnet shimmers in her veins blood gone gold upon the wane No one knows the thought she had when she donned garnet color of her mourning's sad her thoughts running before the fold ======================== well this is just exquisite... the vocab, phrasing and rhyme is poetically sating and the emote paired with the imagery employ of color and scent made for sensual sensory saturation. very very nice Elan...how lovely this jewel of an inspire is. This requires contemplation, indeed. Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write. |

This is beautiful and brings in two of my favorite things--garnets and vanilla. Nice thoughtful write that I will read again and again. Shenachie |
