I wake up in the morning And the first thing that I do. Is feel the empty place in bed Then I start missing you. I bathe and drink my coffee- But I do it all alone. It's hard for me to face the fact- That you are really gone. The flowers that you planted, Bloom beside the door. The frangrance of their blossoms Only makes me miss you more... A thousand little touches- That made our house a home... Mock me with their presence- Now that you are gone. I put up all the photographs- That showed your smiling face... And pictures of my travels... Somehow hardly take their place. I needed you, and loved you- Oh, if only I had known- Hindsight's twenty-twenty... Now that you are gone. |

This is so sad and have experienced this! Though it's so touching you have written it with such grace. Be well Sauni:)The Only Time I See The Sun Is When I'm Within That Vanilla Breeze. The Only Time I'm One With The Sun Is When He Shelters Me From The Rain. L.S |

Oh, this one brought tears to my eyes.....I know the feeling well. Seems like the smallest things that you never even noticed before, become some of the things you hold the closest. Beautiful write.......... |
