Results of a bad day at the golf course.

Point and Counterpoint

Point and counterpoint swings track
A razor pendulum turns back
A blade with traumas slicing view
Cuts my sanity in two

A moment dancing whirligig
My senses prancing in a jig
That strikes my body in smite
Flaming red a flying kite

Rolls around in scream control
Falling through a pain porthole
Carried by winged savagery
On hells firers imagery

A supplement of muses shunt
Siphoning the mind to blunt
With sound that’s swallowed by the ear
Touching fiber ends, of fear.

And round the echoes of the muse
She dances there in see-through shoes

That's QUITE a game, Sy!  Must have been a heck of a golf day to bring out these powerful sentiments! Much enjoyed.

Best wishes and hugs,
/Kit

Now dear Seymour,
it does sound as if your
mind were somewhere else,
and not up to par...

Seymour darling boy you even manage to convey the feelings of frustration and despair of the game, and do so in a way that showcases your amazing talent so well.

You know I adore your writing, and no matter how busy I am I simply have to find time for you. But then you know that, don’t you? I have to have my soul touched by Seymour, or else the day lacks a vital ingredient. A bit like a song, the words are beautiful and can stand alone, but add the melody and the words are transformed, so is a day with my daily does of Seymour. When you are added to the mix of sunlight and shadow then my soul is lifted higher, and my day is blessed with wonder.

Anyway this is another utterly utterly perfectly penned poem from you and I absolutely love it. Thank you for my making my day, truly exceptional.

Sy

Must be why I never played golf...I've seen it take over before...and run with the mood.

Great writing!

Sy, can see many images in this
but she is lovely in her art
this distraction that waltzes
wearing many names

I would not know a birdie from par
but I know when I look far
a write by Sy is heaven sent
no matter what subject's bent...

Twas a bogey on the card
numbers high, counting hard
from a slice instead of hook
twas his ball in babbling brook

The swing was hard and true
as away the little ball flew
Through the air so loftily
'pon the green, putting three

Knees were knockin, sweaty brow
Line it up,  figurin' how
Stroke the putt,  see the hole
stoppin' short, one for roll

The clubs were tossed in the lake
poor Sy is tired,  hot to bake
A game of golf, so relaxin' tis.
until the number so big...it is!

Sorry Sy,  better luck next time..

Just took some golf lessons and with shoulder aching, I think I am beginning to know exactly what you mean.  Excellent write.
