Silk threads
woven intricately into a web
following no pattern
unique in it's shape
a delicate strength
extending beneath the eaves
kept from escaping
outside of the elements
caught in between
careful not to come undone
tricky around the edges
tentative movements
withdrawing
where it gets sticky
pulled back towards the middle
silk threads that tighten the web
fanning out in circumference
keeping me centered
after so many others
tried tearing me down...

Beautifully woven, Lori...

Its amazing how you can take something so mundane as a spiderweb and turn it into a beautiful poem.

Love this one Lori!
It is amazing the beautiful patterns they weave...
and just how strong they are.
Well done.

Blues

A spider's web is an amazing thing...I love this look at one, and the metaphor to other parts of life.

(smiles) YAY!!! Oh Lori, this is sooooooo beautiful, sweet friend, I love spider webs so so much and am envious of how they can always create such gorgeous works of art with soft tiny threads and work with so much patience! (kiss on cheek) This is breathtaking, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Lori, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

A ball of twine we women are not,
to be let out and reeled in on a whim.
