With all my love I'm leaving you, but my friendship will stay. I will always be there for you, in every other of way. I could never end our friendship, it means too much to me. The same thing for my love, but what's meant to be will be. The purpose of my love now,is just a comfort for me. Something I can cling to, but no one else can see. Though I love you completely,you're not mine to hold. It was for love I did aspire, an unreachable goal. Fantasies, and dreams,put life into my soul. Love’s not ever what it seems,somehow it turns out cold. Though you may keep the heart,that I gave to you. It won't be used anymore, and it's your favorite shade of blue. Maybe some night,when you find you can't sleep. You will remember the heart, I gave you to keep. If that should ever happen,I want you to know. As someone who loves you, I really need to let you go. If there is a stirring in your heart,when you think of me. Remember why I'm gone,my love's not meant to be. I want you happy,and my love doesn't do that, I believe. It was because of that love,that I feel I must leave. I took you much too seriously , with your flattering words. I know now you never meant them, at least not the way I heard. Your words were only teasing, in friendship, now I know. I believe the grass was greener, but it simply didn't grow. I can't be there for you, when you don't want me to be. I can't hold on to you, when your desire is not for me. I can only stand by now ,but only as your friend... My love contained within my heart. My story without end.. If you can't make it so, |
