Stumbled into
the perfect parade

I’m in front
this time
no more yellow flags
though
there’s bound to be
a crash or two
just for fun

these days
have so many moments
gotta love
the adrenaline
of a free rush

when the good guy wins
finds you
in his arms

write me
a more perfect ending

Desperate for changing
Starving for truth
Closer where I started
Chasing after you

How could there be a more perfect ending than the one in which the good guy wins? The difficulty is always in identifying who the good guy really is, isn't it? Peaceful hugs to you, good guy.

oh, i have my doubts about that...

really though D, no matter your moral tendencies, your poetry expresses itself vibrantly, emotionally. the images are sparse from your pen, yet somehow striking in the mind. well done, and as usual, i relate.

I think the perfect ending’s already been written, right here.

when the good guy wins
finds you
in his arms

now, this is the only time you’ll hear me admit you’re a good guy…savour the moment!! Lol

"There's bound to be a crash or two just for fun"

I like that line.  Of course that would make it the perfect ending if everyone else fell down

Very nice read

haha, you made Tracey admit you're a good guy. I love it.
I agree, by the way.

(big hugggsssss) Wow, I love this, sweet friend, I believe there can be no happier ending than the good guy winning, unless of course one can know true happiness will last forever! (sigh) This is wonderful, sweet friend, I too love your writing always, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Duncan, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

I love the little hint of almost sarcasm you always inject into your poems, Duncan...

~ perfect ending hugs for a good guy
