Timid sunset fades smoothly into blue seas Precautious thinking subsides with the light Mind hovering over the blooming situation like bees Reciprocating a smile up to the sky as it turns to night. Now sitting up at the edge of my rumpled bed Realizing it was all a dream and it’s now a fresh morning. But wait! This isn’t my room and what's this pain in my head. The story is so true that I can’t tell for it gives a weird feeling. Tell you what. Let’s shake things up. No more true stories it’s getting tuff. Changing the style of what I’m writing I’ve got to keep it all enticing. Wait this still isn’t any good Wouldn’t give it to kids in my neighborhood. Somehow incognito I must write. Not leaving signature Every thing now miniature my creative sense premature. Are you recognizing this un-organizing as I “feel” I’m rising Tis’ still so surprising. Are you feeling me? Are you? My fingers on strike? Brain taking a hike? Anyone!?! Have any idea what this is like.? Inspiration You’ve forsaken I gave. Now you’ve taken When will my talent awaken? Should I just scrap this write? Throw it in the bin far away from sight? Think I can hide behind pretense? No! I’ll publish this online. Now you all can see. What’s become of me. I’m still here waiting for writers block to set me free. ©2002 hayden a. james My poetry is at: http://www.thehayden.org |

haydenjames "Are you feeling me? Are you? My fingers on strike? Brain taking a hike? Anyone!?! Have any idea what this is like.?" Yes, for sure...I have been there many times...the trick is not to worry, but I haven't learned it yet. |
