if the flame
was bright enough
blue enough
circled in
familiar mystery

would you
singe and binge
crash and burn

for that one moment

would you
live on it then
a lifetime

no regret, no anger
though the loneliness
consumes
the very dust
of wing

would you
walk away from day to day
walk toward
dreams and such

would you
have the strength
you hope for me

and the love

would you

Desperate for changing
Starving for truth
Closer where I started
Chasing after you

The proverbial moth always shows up, doesn't it? But it has to be the right flame or light. Keep the candles burning, and the porch light on...and hope the beautiful butterfly ventures within your welcoming light again.

This is good, Duncan. I don't know what the answer is, though to me, it is well worth the pain to go for it, whenever possible.

I think everyone should walk towards their dreams (or run…just so long as you don’t trip!! Lol). Dreams make life worth living, and we should take the chance to follow our dreams whenever humanly possible. Just finding that out myself.

you really dont play fair...
the moth mascara is singe proof...not tear.
you do know how much I love this, right?
and how much I felt it...(yes you know)
so many lines here went thru me...and reminded me of things I've lost sight of lately...
thank you for that D ...
you penned a moth anthem my porch pal

Cheap Trick
The Flame

Another night slowly closes in,
And I feel so lonely.
Touching heat freezing on my skin,
I pretend you still hold me.
I'm going crazy, I'm losing sleep.
I'm in too far, I'm in way too deep over you.
I can't believe you're gone.
You were the first, you'll be the last.

A well posed question in a well crafted work.
I enjoyed it very much

Is there a time limit on this question, or is it timeless? I have been given a limited amount of time on this planet. Sorry to seem so impatient. But time is of the essence.

Yes, I would make that mistake again I think... LOL  But you never know unless you try, you could spend a lifetime running from what could've been the best thing that ever happened to you if you dont at least try.

Strive for higher levels, if they seem out of reach... Grow, and they will get closer.

Been there done that and he didn't!
I don't ask anymore!  But the question
remains the same!

I hope the answer is everything you want to hear, for you have posed the question so sincerely, and that to me is the keyword!
