When time became the first clock’s tick
before the hands of time were seen
and life was born of only light
a brilliant ball of silver sheen

Before the sun and stars were born
and lights were not of the dark sky
when simply one force was then known
and nothing seen by living eye

Billions of years light hurtling past
until birth of the galaxy
Long before the earth was a thought
or constellations flickered free

A system of sun and planets born
of a universe then old age
A birth of life in purest heat
when a T-rex was not the rage

We live a moment of one speck
in time less than one simple tick
And all of man has been of earth
so short, the thought makes one sick

Hello Barry

So wonderful and so very true are your words.  Sometimes we all get caught up in the rush but we all need to cherish the time we have for we don't know which day may be our last.

Take care.....Sue

Good Evening...or should I say...Good Morning
Sue...   Thank You dear one...Yes...our lives
are but a microsecond of time compared to
the Universe or our own earth...

And we should live as though each second may
be our last...

don't utterly do it...you just do it...

Very nicely penned Barry,
and oh so true.
It goes by in the blink of an eye.

Nancy,  I was just thinking of something to
write for the evening...and stumbled across
the thought of time....Amazing, isn't it??

Look at the growth of humanity over the
course of a few thousand years...Most of
what has grown...has occured during our own
lifetimes...

The other four billion or so years were just
the first step...

Hugs...

(sigh) Wow, oh Barry, this indeed intrigues me, sweet friend, yet while we have made so many achievements in time, it also saddens me to see much of continum being lost and thwarted and how much of what we used to rememember in love has fallen apart! (big hugggssssss) Time is a bittersweet thing, dearest friend, you write of it so well, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Barry, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Thanx Sandra,  and I am pleased to say this
happened well before my time,  so my words
are not from personal experience Ha!...

Noah,  yes...such a fascinating time and
puzzling thought of when it all began...
