In the woods I was a walkin',
When I thought I heard some talkin',
I stopped right there to take a listen,
So there'd be nothing I would be missin'.
Towards the talkin' I took a mosey,
Bein' perhaps, a wee bit nosey,
I peered through a mulberry bush,
When from behind I felt a push.
I turned around, there stood a bear!
I thought perhaps I'd best leave there.
Without goodbyes, I took off runnin',
Just in the case the b'ar tweren't funnin'.
I ran real fast, I ran real far,
and all the while, I heard that b'ar.
I swear I smelled his honeyed breath,
If I tripped, a certain death.
Then up ahead was my parked car,
Hallelujah, I'd beat that b'ar,
Disaster struck, I had no key,
The door was locked, the end of me.
I turned around there stood the beast,
No where to run, I'd be his feast,
A noontime snack, a man entree,
Just then I heard the grizzly say,
I think perhaps that you dropped these,
And handed me my set of keys.

ROTFL, were you following me at Yosemite about 25 years ago, in early Spring? How funny this was! But when something similar happened to me, my car was unlocked and the bear just ran past me. He must have spotted bigger game. I was sure glad I was short and skinny at the time...not even a snack.

A GOOD way to kick off Monday.  Thank you so much, Tim!

Ah, being that it's a holiday, you don't suppose you could whip out a few more before the work week starts again, could you?
