Louisiana, Unexplained Louisiana held me strong like N’Awleans coffee that belonged in stronger cups than Styrofoam which carried me, my mind, long home… I wound throughout the streets all day as in and out my legs to play the come and go of eye’s delight until I came upon this sight I stood and stared at crystal lights enchantment gleamed within my sight which drew my gaze upon the vase when then I saw the foreign place I saw more than the casual eye a place where lovers floated by I saw the ripple in waters still and somehow felt my heart fulfilled to stand in candle’s light of gold and feel again a love to hold to mirror my face in water’s lee for I am in the boat, you see… ~*~ ©Karilea Rilling Jungel 26 May 2002 Personal photo |

(smiles) WOW!!! Oh my gosh, I love the bayou so much, sweet friend, it always amazes me to see so many inspired along the Mississippi from New Orleans to Memphis and the soul and class Louisiana still offers today in the Cajun way! (kiss on cheek) This is a Mardi Gras gusto of a poem, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Karilea, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton "Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..." Shakira [This message has been edited by Mistletoe Angel (05-26-2002 09:11 PM).] |

hugging you for this, dear lady... I often describe New Orleans in particular as being akin to meeting a friend's elderly eccentric aunt...only to discover later, she's really your friend's "UNCLE"... a bit spooky but always romantic, a bit offbeat with the reality of ancient grime...sort of like faded velvet...worn by the years. You captured her, and my home, most beautifully! Thank you! |

I could get lost in that picture for a while, especially if floating along with this poem. Beautiful! |

Now you know what, I happen to have put this in my absolute favorites, it actually "speaks" to me loudly. I could spend forever in that picture, and almost did. Ohhhh, I loved this one. There is nothing means more to me than |

I've not seen all of Louisiana yet, Noah, but hope to some day - New Orleans is still calling me...thank you! Enchantress, I like the picture too...somehow it seems to change each time I look at it!... Magnus - of Course you can hear the music!... Serenity - all of what you said, and more... Midnitesun - exactly - go ahead and get lost in the photo, I know I did... James, thank you for reading!... Mysteria, this spoke to me, too, and has waited a couple of years for me to get around to it...thank you!... |

Went there for the 1984 World's Fair. BTW, one cannot explain Louisiana let alone New Orleans ... especially the French Quarter |
