As globe of love falls from clearest of sky into the land beyond the sight of eye Mine heart entwines thy own upon the green of grasses mown before the shimmer’s glean. At touch of glove by hand of shy Across thy land I heard thy cry Two hearts in wind, long journey’s dream As wet grassed prints imagined scene ‘Pon break of new day in yon forest stand whence be fair maiden of the greatest land Stirring in thy bed of soft silken white in yearn of strong and most fearless dark knight To wake, to wake upon the morning grand and hear thy call of heart’s command Throw back thy sheets of silk delight To hurry this day back to dark Knight Wilt not thy moist lips find mine own in pass as dew of vine does fill our wine of glass Chance thee not rise to softest of my knock Thy door shall darken ‘gain at toll of clock Hurry dear Sire to this your lass On knees I begged all during Mass What? grasping noise at door’s great lock Cling to thy lady in blue-green smock [This message has been edited by Magnus (04-11-2002 07:25 PM).] |

BRAVO!!! Yes, I too felt that this was so very smooth and spoken in silver, sweet friend, I envisioned a Baroque and Renaissance classic feel reading this! (big hugggssssss) We all love you so much, sweet friend, this is wonderful! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Barry, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Magnus...I love the medieval tone to this poem. I can see and hear the Knights, the fair maidens, answering to the heart's call. CLASSIC POEM, BEAUTIFULLY PORTRAYED!!! |
