Courage more than just bravado, worldliness, sophistication
Risk to dream; to reach and fail, fall far of mere articulation
Caverns that can swallow up the human heart if only dared
Courage: strength to reach across a mile wide chasm shared

Risk to open; in the shed of mask and husk and simply be
Care enough to take the action of the inner message faithfully
Courage works below the gums into the core of meager man
Risk the aching and confusion as a warrior; as by love we can

Care to hold on tight, and then let go, remain in close connection
Courage lives in faith, creative powers sibilant and resurrection
Risk to give the upper hand away entrust the instinct as inborn
Courage thrives when less is more; healing touches suture scorn

Content; the creative stream residing in the wishes that are granted
Risk to win or lose, within the wheel; upon a path of light enchanted
Courage to forgo the quick for worthy joy into the boil of the sea
Caverns deeper shelters, unlike fearful places once portrayed to be
