Anguish and grief wash over me
a shudder rips through mine body
beating me, crushing my will
haunting me, terrorizing me until
I scream in pain, a horrible wail
death indeed will not end this tale
fallen, bleeding in the dark
distraught and destroyed, but hark
mine heart does search for thine
in hope and need, for a sign
it does not exist, forgotten again
dying, release is soon, but when?

Perhaps run over in the metaphorical sense.  I have posted 3 other poems:
The Lost One
Flash
Possibility
if you want to look for them
