Somewhere In The World

Don't pretend with me anymore...we both know what is true
Behind your fake smile I know you're heart is broken into two
How many times must we go through this...before you understand
With me you can show your true self...I am an honest friend

I know the pain you've endured...I know the tears you refuse to cry
Just like I know everytime it kills you, when yet it's time to say another goodbye
I won't pretend to have magical words, or something amazing to say
Just know that I really do care...and by your side I'd like to stay

When the world turns cold...and you just want to give in
Remember it gets hardest before it gets better...you have to fight from within
The road is going to be hard...you and I have both found that out
Tears and pain though aren't what life is always about

Behind every dark cloud lies a rainbow surrounded by blue sky
Behind every tear there is a smile and love that won't make you cry
Believe in me, for I won't hurt you...believe in yourself...you have a wonderful heart
Letting go...and letting your guard down is a start

If you find you can't trust me...that it's just to hard to do
I want you to remember something...I really have cared about you
If we must say goodbye...know you have taught me so many things
You've taught me the joy in living...what it feels to just let go and "sing"

I hope all your dreams come true sweet friend...and that you get all you hope for
If you need a friend to share your good news with...please come knock on my door
And if you just want to be alone....living with your pain and fear
Know somewhere in the world someone cares...and does understand your every tear

"you can't stop
the rain
from pouring down
can't stop the
world from turning 'round
can't stop me from
loving you
no matter
what you do"

Beautiful poem of sincerety and no regrets Amy-girl...knowing when to let go takes just as much heart as holding on and fighting for something....
As always, that sunshine heart of yours is there, warming your rhymes.

I've found that no one tells the ups and downs of a relationship like you Amy. . . the stories of your heart. . .

excellent work. . .

A very warm open heartfelt write Amy. To have a friend like you is like haveing stability in one's life. I really enjoyed the kindness in this piece!

The role of poetry is to utter the un-utterable; to open up
spaces of consciousness and resistance; to language oppressions; to
re-language historie
