Flashes of light arc across the sky Lightning dances randomly before my eye Chances slim that it will come near An ending quick is not what I fear Hard, stinging, full of pain Blanketing, drenching like the rain The clouds are thick covering all Lean to far and I could fall Into you, I would be consumed My heart and mind would be marooned A flash of light invades my mind I follow it in not knowing what I'll find Chaos, emptiness, combined in one Rage and Peace, a moment and done As I wait rain falls on my skin The door is locked, please let me in -- |

Great use of a metaphor here... implied danger and excitement and all caution to the wind too. I liked this much. |
