Past the battle of the crying and the doors that would not move Past the feelings of rejection and the words that never prove Past the battle raging often on the mind through to the soul Somehow it let me go and fled to leave me feeling whole The inner demons I had fought, had left and said goodbye Today I smiled a little more and felt the world reply Today I spoke a few more words and felt my steps more free Somehow the light I could not sight appeared so I could see I’ve aged enough to know the truths and what one can expect I’ve learnt acceptance of small things and how one earns respect I’m finding more that inner strength lies dormant as a seed To grow and give us courage and to help us when we need With its inner peace and loving we discover more of we To slowly just accept what is and let some outcomes be Why worry of what can’t be changed, life gives these as our test The challenges, which come each day, we tackle with our best It’s attitude and growing of the mind that turns the tide It’s inner peace, maturity; time gives us on its ride |

"With its inner peace and loving we discover more of we To slowly just accept what is and let some outcomes be" "Why worry of what can’t be changed, life gives these as our test The challenges, which come each day, we tackle with our best " Your timing with the wisdom in these words, was just what I needed this morning Rick. I'm very glad I was able to pop in to read this ... your sentiments are very much appreciated and enjoyed. Best wishes, /Kit |

Rick, this is so wonderfully appropriate for me. Your timing is excellent, your poem is too. Kethry Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind. Unknown |

...I’m finding more that inner strength lies dormant as a seed To grow and give us courage and to help us when we need ... I'm taking this one as my Motto for the next several years... Thank you Rick! |
