CURING INSOMNIA

I've searched ancient writings,
a sleepless cure to find.
It seems the Greeks were tired out;
with Olypic Games in mind.

Romans gave a gentle hint,
and perhaps here is a clue?
In, "Amor Omnia vincit" -
A Latin saying, 'tis true!

Means, "love conquers everything",
or "Amor vincit omnia",
they commend it as a cure
for this darn insomina.

So love as much as you can,
within your legal right,
I bet when you are all through,
you'll soundly sleep at night.

(smiles) Oh Sharon, I absolutely agree, I too have trouble sleeping a lot sometimes then when I think of my sweet Joanna and how much I love her, her smile makes me dream and I fall asleep before I know it! (kiss on cheek) This is wonderful, sweet friend, your words are always so delightful to read, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sharon, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

I saw her in the bar that night
So gorgeous to my eyes.
I propositioned her and she said
yes, to my surprise!

I was so shocked I asked her
Why she said yes eagerly.
She set her drink down on the bar
And said these words to me...

"I have insomnia, you see.
Sometimes it's hard to cope.
I asked the doc and he advised
That I should get some dope!"

As the King of the night Owls I can say it works ......sometimes, but even if it does not it was fun medication......I liked the poem very much.

'Tis true, 'tis true!
'Cept when thy hubby's on night shift...
Then insomnia's not a burden,
Quite contrary,
It is a gift!

I love your poem and your rational thinking here!

I think I loved these replies more htan any I have seen on this silly poem.  You are all just too much and Balladeer, whatever are we going to do with you?  You never, ever run out of funny things to say, and I hope you never do   Thank you one and all!  And Laura, you hang in there kiddo, you are the best!  The best!

Whenever Miss Mysteria has trouble finding sleep,
She call up Justin Genious to get her drug real cheap.
Too often we have stolen from Nurse Crachet’s pharmacy.
No wonder Miss Mysteria writes poems in ecstasy!
